1- Great to have you on our blog. Please, introduce yourself?
Yes! Thank you for having me… it’s great to be here! My name is Adam Exler.
2- What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. My Dad was a dentist and my Mom was an actress. My brother and I were big into sports and only listened to the music that was popular on the radio mostly. As we were on our way back from a family summer road trip, a song came on the radio, the likes of which I had never previously heard before at my young age. B.B. King’s “The Thrill is Gone” filled my ears and soul and the rest is, what do you say, HISTORY! Skip ahead a few years… I was a member of the USTA National Championship Team when I attended the world famous Bolletierri Tennis Academy. But my heart and soul was in music, even though I had barely started learning how to play the piano, sing, and hadn’t even written a single song yet! I went to Sedona, AZ with the Mom and the locals there told me to visit one of the Vortexes that Sedona is famous for. That spiritual and other worldly experience finally cemented my path into the unknown music realm.
3- Tell us about your new Single. And what’s the story behind it?
My newest single here is called RISE. An Anthem for the underdogs out there! And how to stand up for what you believe in and shine despite the best efforts of others to put you down and rain on your parade. But doing so without violent means.
4- What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
I feel I make genuine and heartfelt music that comes from life experiences. I just go with what I am feeling and don’t pigeon hole myself in any exact genre. I would say I have a Rock/Pop bluesy and soulful Universal Sound that resonates with the people who hear my craft.
I don’t go after what’s in or popular at the moment. I stay true to my vision and harness what the Universe and Spiritual guides channel through me.
5- What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Patience, Patience, and Patience! Did I mention Patience?! Lol! I have been doing this for quite awhile now, and just know this is a LIFELONG journey. If you love what you do, it isn’t work. It’s a sojourn deep into your own body, mind, and spirit. And hopefully the music and lyrics will resonate with enough people to make a difference in their lives. Just like music healed, inspired, and was there for me when I was growing up and all the way up to present day and beyond!
